THE PLAYER’S CODE OF CONDUCT

-Players will be expected to act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times before, during and after all practices and games.
-Players will be expected to abide by the following guidelines when dealing with coaches and other players. Failure to follow these guidelines may result players being removed from the program.

STAY POSITIVE

-Finding the good in every teammate’s performance is very important. Even if it is nothing more than “good try”, encouragement is always the way to go.

ENCOURAGE SPORTSMANSHIP

-Be respectful, Chee, and Applaud effort by all teammate and maintain a good attitude whether you win or lose.

LET COACHES COACH

If you have comments, make them in private. Help your teammates to respect the coach’s authority and responsibilities. Remember, they are giving their time to help you and your team.

LET ENJOY THE GAME

The Ottawa Ballers main goal is to use the platform to play and share our skills, work ethic, pride and sportsmanship. While we all want to succeed, Winning is not as important as participation, having fun and doing your best. Play to win, but most importantly, play with the intention of learning.

CONSEQUENCES FOR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

One verbal warning will be given by a Coach, Referee or Field Supervisor. If the behavior continues, the player will be asked to leave the team the facility for the duration of the game. If the player refuses, there will be other security measure in force to assist in the removal of the player. If the same player is asked to leave from more than two games, the player will lose the right to participate as a player and spectator for the remainder of the season.
